Shopping in Frankfurt
Short walk up our Kaiser Str. brings you to Zeil Str. which is a pedestrian shopping district of Frankfurt. Start with the café on the roof of Kaufhof department store. Then you can stroll along and hear the street musicians, see the artists and taste the sausages or fruits and vegetables from the market stalls. If you are still looking for more, there is the old town just a short walk away.

A stroll along the green banks of the river Main takes you, for example, to the historic center. You might as well pay a visit to one of our many museums or just sit down for a break in a café. Or you walk past European Central Bank and other skyscrapers to the main shopping district Zeil. Many of the major sights in Frankfurt are less than 20 minutes away on foot; or you use our convenient public transport.culture
Along the river Main there are most of the museums in a line. From the hostel you only walk 5 min to the river. In our many theaters, some even performing in English, every day all sorts of different plays meet every taste. There is live music in clubs and halls, especially in our famous concert halls Alte Oper, Festhalle und Jahrhunderthalle .Restaurants
Frankfurt is an international city und almost the whole world´s cuisine is available, so there is many possibilities to eat out. Especially in the area around the hostel you will find a wide choice of good value take-away food. Or do you want to experience Frankfurt cookery in a typical cosy old fashioned local restaurant, where the local drink 'Apfelwein',a type of dry alcoholic cider, is home made and served with hearty food like German sausage or other Frankfurt specialities.

Stroll down Bergerstrasse
Take the U4 to the end stop Seckbacher Landstr. Have a glass of Apfel Wein in one of the ancient timber-wooded apple-wein restaurants. Stroll down this popular street, full of all kind of cafès and pubs, and alternative boutiques. End up at the Bethmannpark, where you can relax after shopping stress. This student district stays very lively even after dark.
